I think the reason for John Aycliffe's attack on Crispin was because maybe John thought that Crispin heard what they were saying and it was secret information so to keep him quiet he attacked him. I think Crispin's home was destroyed as a warning to him that if he said anything something worse than that would happen. But he actually didm't hear anything they said but John doesn't know that yet.I think for Crispin it could mean that he needs to get away because John doesn't want him to know what he could be planning even if it is a plan and will continue to do bad stuff to him or people he is close to.

The reason for John Aycliffe's attack on Cripin was probably because he thought he was spying on them or was hearing something he was not suppose to hear and John thought Crispin was going to tell others about it.I think Crispins home was destroyed because John was giving him a sign that he is not welcomes to the village anymore. I also think this means that Crispin will have to live in the forest while the soldiers look for him.

A reason for Aycliffe's attack might have been that when he was having the conversation with the mysterious man, they probably talked about something that they don't want known or are planning something.I think that the destruction of Crispin's house was caused or planned by John Aycliffe. I think Aycliffe is meaning to make Crispin's life miserable.I think that for Crispin this mean that his life could be n danger

I think they destroyed his home either thinking he is in there or they just wanted to make him upset and have him know there was nowhere for him to stay.

A reason for John Aycliffe's attack on Crispin could be the fact that Crispin fled from the village without delivering his ox as he was told. I believe this because Aycliffe told Crispin to deliver his ox, but Crispin refused, and fled to the forest. I believe Crispin's home was destroyed because Crispin never delivered his ox as he was told, meaning he never payed for his mother's death. In this way, his home was forced to be destroyed. In addition, this meant that Crispin couldn't return to the village, for he had no place to live. I think this means that Crispin will have to find a new home somewhere else, or have to find some way to survive in the forest. I believe this because both of Crispin's parents have died, and because of this, he has nowhere to go, and no place to live. This is why I believe Aycliffe is attacking Crispin, why Crispin's home was destroyed, and what I think is going to happen to Crispin.

A reason that Aycliffe would want to attack Crispin might be because he might have thought that in the woods when the stranger and Aycliffe were hvaing a meeting Crispin might have heard something he shouldn't have.I believe that Crispin's home was destroyed because Aycliffe could have told the guards that Crispin didn't pay his tax bill for his mothers death tax.Or it could be that Aycliffe might have told the guards that he broke a rule or something. I think for Crispin this means that he will have to build a new home away from where he used to live, and he will probably have to fight for his life.

I think the reason for John Aycliffe’s attack on Crispin was because, at the forest meeting, John was saying something that Crispin wasn’t supposed to know. I think Crispin’s home was destroyed as an attempt of killing Crispin because the steward is said as having a clear intent of killing Crispin. I think this means that Crispin is going to have to find a place to live.

I think John Aycliffe's attack on Crispin was because John Ayccliffe declares Crispin a wolf head, which means anyone can kill him and it won't matter because he isn't considered human. I think Crispin's house was destroyed because of their beliefs. I think this means that he might have to change his beliefs.

Nathan Marroquin said...

I think John Aycliffe is trying to kill Crispin because he over heard John and a man talking and what they were talking about might be illegal or they are trying to do something they don't want anyone to know about. I think Crispins home was destroyed because John told everyone he died and he wants his house gone so nobody asks questions about what happened and he wants everyone to forget about him.I also thinks that he destroyed his house because he knows that he is still trying to get in the town and he thinks he wants to tell someone what he heard and he wants to make him feel terrible because his house is destroyed and that will make him go away.I think this means that Crispin is going to be forgotten and John will kill him if he sees his face again.I think it means that Crispin is going to be a fugitive for the town and John wants him to keep out so Crispin gets the message to get out and he is going to be force to go somewhere else.

I think the reson Aycliffe attacked crispin because crispin overheard his secret meeting in the forest. The reason why he decided to destroy his home was because Crispin knew to much and Aclffe was mad that crispin overheard and wanted to threaten him and show that if he told anyone of the meeting he would regret it.I think this mean the crispin is going it be in danger because of john Acliffe.

I think the reason for John Aycliffe's attack on Crispin is because John and that stranger were doing something illegal and they didn't want anybody to find out. So that's why John Aycliffe attacked Crispin.I also think that Crispins house was destroyed for that reason to, John Aycliffe didn't want any witnesses on what he did in the woods with that stanger. I think this means that Crispin is in great danger and he should probably never go back to his village.

Jeffrey Fitz Gibbon said...

I think the motive behind John Aycliffe's attack on Crispin was the fact that Crispin saw a mysterious exchange between John and a stranger, which he was not supposed to see. Crispin's house was destroyed because he did not pay the tax of his mother's death (the ox), and in return, he had no choice but to flee the village. I think this means Crispin is going to have to find somewhere else to live, while also staying out of site from John Aycliffe and any other officials from the village that are trying to hunt him.

Joseph Willis said...

I believe the reason John Aycliffe attacked Crispin's cottage was because Crispin overheard John and the other man talking in the woods. The information being shared was most likely important, which is what lead them to burn down Crispin's house. I believe the reason they burnt down Crispin's house is because they knew Crispin heard them talking, and they didn't want him to tell anybody. It made logical sense that they burnt downs his house. They may have also wanted him to leave the village because of debts his mother had, which could be another reason they burnt down his cottage.

Jeremiah Macedo said...

I think that John Aycliffe attracted Astos son was because he herd the conversation that John was talking to the other man there. And the reason he destroyed his house because he heard the conversation and threatened Astos Son. So they attacked Astos Sons house and John Wanted to kill him.

I believe that the reason why John Aycliffe attacked Crispin was because he saw Crispin overhear his conversation in the woods and John Aycliffe was scared that Crispin will tell someone. Since John Aycliffe did not kill Crispin he burnt down Crispin's little cottage as a sign to not mess with him. Another reason why John Aycliffe burnt Crispin's cottage was because his mother died and he become a nobody and nobody liked him.

Ethan Mathew said...

John Aycliffe is pretty much in charge and rules over the whole of Lord Furnival's manor. As long as Lord Furnival never returns to his manor, it is technically John Aycliffe's. And as unlikely as it may seem, perhaps it was discovered by Aycliffe in the woods that Crispin may somehow bring up the return of Lord Furnival. To avoid losing the manor to its rightful owner, seeing Crispin right in the woods was the perfect opportunity for Aycliffe to end his problem once and for all. But that didn't work. So I bet Ayclifffe thought, "Why must I do it, when the woods can do it for me?"
This would have led to Crispin's house being burnt down. To ensure that he may never return and will starve in the forest. But still, that wasn't enough.
"What if that wiry little boy is still able to survive? What if he runs off someplace else? Maybe then he would fulfill the goal of returning Lord Furnival?"
This of course would lead to John Aycliffe taking it to the extreme by informing all the inhabitants of the manor that Crispin has done a great sin and has escaped. As I had discussed in my earlier post, the middle ages were a time when people would gather together with weapons and torches to hunt something or a person(s) down, sometimes if they have the wrong idea of religion, OR if they have done something to disrupt that religion. So of course that's is what the people do, for they cannot rest until this horrible monster of a child (who unbeknownst to them, has actually done nothing wrong) is killed. All of this, so that Aycliffe can keep everyone of the manor under his control, and to make sure that all of it, ALL of it can be his.

I think John Aycliffe attacked Crispin because he didn't want him to hear anything important and then go off rambling to the townsfolk. And in order to keep Crispin away in case he heard or saw anything, they destroyed Crispin's home so if he returned to town he'd have nowhere to hide. I think this means that Crispin has to live in the forest from now on, or he might get a death sentence by John Aycliffe.

John Aycliffe's reason to attack Crispin is to probably make sure he doesn't tell anyone else what he and the stranger were talking about. Because In 1300s England, the night after Crispin's mother dies, he overhears a conversation between John Aycliffe, steward of the manor, and a stranger. John Aycliffe's conversation must have been very important for him to react like that. I think the steward sent his men to burn Crispin's house because he say the conversation in the woods and he declared Crispin a wolfs head. Ithink Crispin will now be forced to flee from the village, or hide.

I think John wanted to kill him was because he saw the meeting in the forest.I think that his house was destroyed because then he didn't have anywhere to hide. I think this means for him that he has lost everything.

I think the reason for John Aycliffe's attack on Crispin was because maybe John thought that Crispin heard what they were saying and it was secret information so to keep him quiet he attacked him. I think Crispin's home was destroyed as a warning to him that if he said anything something worse than that would happen. But he actually didn't hear anything they said but John doesn't know. I think for Crispin it could mean that he needs to get away from him because John doesn't want him to know what he could be planning.

The reason that Aycliffe attacked Crispin was because Crispin saw them in a secret meeting in the forest. Also the reason why Crispin's home was destroyed was because Aycliffe was mad at Crispin for finding out their secret meeting. I think this means that Crispin was unliked by people, but only his mother loved him.

I think that Jhon Aycliffe attacked Crispin because they might have heard what they were saying and the infirmation was very important so he wasnt supposed to hear it. I think Crispins home was destroyed because if it wasnt destroyed he would have a safe place to hide but they destroyed it. I think this means for Crispin is a warning for him to go away or even more bad things would happen.

I think it means that Crispin is going to be a fugitive for the town and John wants him to keep out so Crispin gets the message to get out and he is going to be force to go somewhere else. The reason for John Aycliffe's attack on Cripin was probably because he thought he was spying on them or was hearing something he was not suppose to hear and John thought Crispin was going to tell others about it.

because he is a wolfs head and anyone can kill him without consequences.

I think the reason Aycliffe attacked Crispin because Crispin overheard his secret meeting in the forest. The reason why he decided to destroy his home was because Crispin knew to much and Ayclffe was mad that Crispin overheard and wanted to threaten him and show that if he told anyone of the meeting he would regret it.I think this mean the Crispin is going it be in danger because of john Aycliffe.

The reason for the acting of John Aycliff wanting to kill Crispin is because. I think it's because when Crispin herd their conversation in the woods John most of been talking about something he really wanted to keep secret like an evil plan or something he didn't want anybody else to hear so he wants to kill Crispin. I also think that his house was destroyed because John didn't want to give him some place to hide and to show him that he is serious and this means that Crispin needs to get out of there.

I think that the reason for Aycliffe's attack on Crispin was because he doesn't like Crispin and how he is getting away and he wants to kill him and so he puts an attack on Crispin. I think Crispin's house was destroyed because he was declared a wolfs head and they didn't want him to go home and tell his parents and get away. I think that this mean that Crispin needs to get away and go to a different town.

I think that Crispin was attacked because he was framed for stealing and he was a wolf's head. and I think the Crispin house was burnt down because he was wanted for theft and they knew that he was close by so they burnt down his house to warn him that he will be killed if he comes into the town. I think to crispen this means that he can never go back to his hometown without being killed.
